Product Overview

Zirconium dioxide (chemical formula: ZrO2) is the main oxide of zirconium. Under normal conditions, Zirconium dioxide is white odorless and odorless crystal, and is hardly soluble in water, hydrochloric acid and dilute sulfuric acid. Zirconium dioxide usually contains a small amount of cerium oxide. Zirconium dioxide is chemically inert and has high melting point, high electrical resistivity, high refractive index and low thermal expansion coefficient, making it an important high temperature resistant material, ceramic insulating material and ceramic sunscreen. Zirconium dioxide is also the main raw material for artificial drilling. The band gap is approximately 5-7 eV. It is mainly used for piezoelectric ceramic products, daily-use ceramics, refractory materials and zirconium bricks, zirconium tubes and tantalum for the smelting of precious metals. Zirconium dioxide is also used in the production of steel and non-ferrous metals, optical glass and zirconia fibers.
