Vinyl acetate is a colorless liquid with a sweet ether flavor; slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol, acetone, benzene, chloroform.

Vinyl acetate is flammable, and its vapor and air can form explosive mixtures. In case of fire, high heat can cause combustion explosion. 

Vinyl acetate can be strong reaction with oxidant. Very easy to heat, light or trace amounts of peroxide polymerization

The product Vinyl acetate containing the inhibitor and the peroxide can also be exposed to violent contact. 

The vapor is heavier than air, can arrive at a far place lower spread, met the fire will burn the back.

Vinyl Acetate is mainly used in the production of polyvinyl alcohol resin and synthetic fiber. 

The single body can be used for producing various kinds of adhesive, and can also be used in the synthesis of polymer composite materials with different properties.

1.Vinyl acetate is the main raw material to produce Synthetic vinyl.Vinyl acetate through itself aggregate, or copolymer with monomer to get polyvinyl alcohol, and acetic acid vinyl-vinyl total polymer (EVA), and acetic acid vinyl-chlorine vinyl copolymer real (EVC), and acetic acid vinyl-propylene nitrile class fiber, and acetic acid vinyl-acrylic ester class copolymer real, they all have important industrial usage,can be widely used as bond agent,and building paint,and textiles sizing agent and finishing agent,and paper enhanced agent,and to produce security glass.Vinyl acetate andethanol, bromine reaction of acetaldehyde diethyl acetal bromides. This is the intermediate methyl imidazole drugs.

2.The commonly used intermediates used in the production of polyvinyl alcohol, paint and adhesives.

3.Used for organic synthesis.
