Product Description:

Sodium sulfite is an inorganic compound.
It is white particle powder at room temperature, has sulfur dioxide smell, stable when dry, sensitive to moisture.
Soluble in water and glycerin, insoluble in ethanol, the aqueous solution was alkaline,

the aqueous solution was alkaline to litmus test paper and phenolphthalein, 

and the acid produced toxic sulfur dioxide gas, 1% of the aqueous solution pH is 8.3~9.4, with strong reducibility.

It is decomposed into sodium sulfide and sodium sulfate when heated
