What is Guanidine hydrochloride Formula

Guanidine hydrochloride, white or light yellow block. The solubility of the product at 20 C is 200g/100g water, 76g/100g methanol and 24g/100g ethanol. It is almost insoluble in acetone, benzene and ether. It can be used as pharmaceutical, pesticide, dye and other organic synthesis intermediates. It can be used to synthesize 2-aminopyrimidine, 2-amino-6-methyl pyrimidine and 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl pyrimidine. It is an intermediate in the manufacture of sulfadiazine, sulfamethopyrimidine and sulfamethopyrimidine. Guanidine hydrochloride (or guanidine nitrate) reacts with ethyl cyanoacetate and cycles with 2,4-diamino-6-hydroxypyrimidine, which is used to synthesize folic acid, an anti-anemia drug. It can also be used as antistatic agent for synthetic fibers.
