Product Description

M-phenylenediamine with CAS 203-584-7

M-phenylenediamine is also known as 1, 3-benzenediamine (1, 3-phenylenediamine) and 1, 3-diaminobenzene (1, 3-diaminobenzene), or MPD. Under normal temperature, white needle crystal, soluble in ethanol, water, chloroform, acetone, dimethylamide, slightly soluble in ether, carbon tetrachloride, difficult to dissolve in benzene, toluene, butanol. It is unstable in the air and tends to turn reddish. This product is flammable, and its combustion and decomposition products are carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides. M-phenylenediamine is a toxic chemical that stimulates the eyes and skin. This substance can be absorbed into the body through inhalation of its vapor through the skin and ingestion. Repeated or long-term contact may cause skin allergy and may have effects on the kidneys and blood, leading to kidney failure and the formation of n-ferrohemoglobin. The effects may be delayed and require medical observation. M-phenylenediamine is widely used in the manufacture of disperse dyes, reactive dyes, direct dyes and cement coagulants. The molecular formula is C6H8N2.

Use
M-phenylenediamine (m-phenylenediamine) is an important organic synthetic material, which is mainly used as dye intermediates, and is used to manufacture such dyes as alkaline orange, alkaline brown G, direct suntan G, and fur dye. The curing agent of epoxy resin and the coagulant of cement are also used. Used as an oil additive and as a raw material for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, a reagent for the determination of nitrite and activated chlorine in water by spectrophotometry.

Editor of packaging, storage and transportation
Packed in plastic lined cardboard drums or iron drums, stored in cool, ventilated warehouses. Keep away from fire and heat. It should be stored separately from strong acid, strong oxidizer, anhydride, acyl chloride and food chemicals. Equipped with appropriate types and quantities of fire fighting equipment. The storage area shall be provided with suitable materials for containment of leakage. Before transportation, the packaging container should be checked to see if it is complete and sealed. During transportation, the container should be ensured not to leak, collapse, fall or damage. Transport should be protected from exposure, rain, high temperature.
