Potassium sorbate is produced by neutralizing potassium hydroxide with asorbic acid. 

Potassium sorbate is white or off white granular or powder. Potassium sorbate is used to inhibit molds and yeasts. 

Potassium sorbate is considered to be safe because of its long term safety record and non-toxic profile, the toxicity is 1/40 times than sodium benzoate.

Potassium Sorbate application:

Potassium Sorbate is widely used in food , drink, vegetables in soy, tobacco, drugs, cosmetics,  agricultural products etc as preservative.
